Privacy Policy

SmartLinks at smartlinks.uhlabs.tech is operated by UH Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it when you use our website, dashboard, and short links.

1. Account data

When you register we store your name, email, and a hashed password. We use this to authenticate you, operate your dashboard, and communicate about your account or billing.

2. Payments (Paddle)

Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes payment card / payment method data, billing address, and tax information as needed to complete the purchase. We do not store full payment card numbers on SmartLinks servers. We receive subscription and customer identifiers from Paddle (via webhooks) so we can unlock Premium features and provide customer support.

Paddle’s own privacy notices apply to data they process as Merchant of Record. See Paddle’s documentation and privacy policy on paddle.com for details.

3. Link analytics

When someone opens a public SmartLinks URL, we may store event data such as approximate device type, OS, browser, country (from CDN headers when available), screen size, and a hashed form of IP address. We do not store raw IP addresses. Analytics help link owners understand traffic.

4. Site analytics

We also count visits to public product pages (for example the homepage, pricing, login, and register). Those events use the same approach: hashed IP, device/browser signals, and an anonymous visitor id in your browser.

5. Cookies

We use an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. Checkout may set cookies required by Paddle to secure and complete payment. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the core product.

6. Legal bases & retention

We process account data to provide the service (contract) and to secure the platform (legitimate interests). Analytics events are retained as needed for product operation and abuse prevention. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us; we may retain limited records when required for legal, tax, or fraud prevention reasons (including records held by Paddle for completed purchases).
